Rapidly growing International Hotel Chain is looking for an ACCOUNTANT for
one of its hotels in New York.
Main responsibilities:
Reporting to the GM of the Hotel and directly to the headquarters in Spain,
the candidate will be responsible for the below:
• Prepare and post routine to complex journal entries, including recurring
and non-recurring entries
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and a variety of monthly reporting
• Responsible for reconciling routine to complex general ledger accounts
according to scheduled deadlines.
• Researching general ledger account discrepancies, processing appropriate
transactions and following up to ensure proper resolution
• Perform financial and accounting analyses and special accounting and
auditing projects as required, assistance in the yearly audit including
audit preparation
• Assistance with the development, implementation and maintenance of
appropriate procedures and internal controls for the Hotel.
• Create detailed and relevant financial reports to provide management with
timely information to make informed decisions
Profile desired:
• Bachelor`s in accounting, finance or related field.
• 2-4 years of related experience and/or similar responsibilities preferably
in the Hotel Industry
• Meet reporting deadlines
• Motivated to meet high performance standards
• Ability to successfully multi-task in a challenging environment
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge.
•Fluent in spanish will be a plus
